Our Purpose.  In an effort to be a community to be the regional church that meets the needs of the people in our region, we are yielded to show concern for the entire person.  Therefore, the driving force behind our ministry is expressed in our purpose statement, "People don't care how much you know until they know how much you care!"

If your life is blocked by past hurts, by hang-ups, harmful habits, or addictions, or if you need more freedom in any area, you will want to join us at OASIS, Mondays from 6:00-9:00 pm. Come for music and teaching, and for safe and confidential sharing in OASIS groups. While there is no charge for OASIS groups, there is a minimal charge for childcare (infant to 4th grade).  If you've been wondering what goes on at OASIS, come and check us out. Here's what the night looks like: It all starts out at 6:00 with music and worship.  Then we’ll have a time of teaching and/or testimony.  Then we'll take a short break and go to our individual OASIS groups. We’ll wrap up the evening at 9:00 with Starbucks© Coffee in Connections Café!

Here’s our line-up:

New-Comers Group:  This group is where everyone starts!  Your first visit to OASIS will begin in this group.  You will remain in this **Open Group until you are ready to attend a more specific group or until a new *Closed-group begins in your specific area.  You can see what Open Groups and Closed Groups are at the end of this list.

Substance Abuse Group:  This is a mixed gender group that provides support and direction with God’s power for men and women who want to recover from drug and alcohol abuse utilizing Celebrate Recovery© materials.  This is an Open Group.

Integrity:  This group gives health and hope for men who seek freedom from adult internet issues or any sexual patterns that have held them back from growing with God and others. This is an Open Group that meets weekly and there are also Closed Groups. New Closed Groups start regularly.

Men’s Anger Management:  This open group provides support and direction with God’s power for men who want to learn to control their emotions in a productive and positive manner.

Women’s Anger Management:  This open group provides support and direction with God’s power for women who want to learn to control their emotions in a productive and positive manner.

DivorceCARE for Ladies:  This group for Women provides support and direction with God’s power for women who are suffering the pains of divorce.  This is a Closed Group with new Closed Groups starting regularly.

DC4K:  This group is called DivorceCARE for Kids.  This group for kids ages 6-12 provides a 6 week program for kids who are suffering the pains of divorce.  This is a Closed Group with new Closed Groups starting regularly.

GriefSHARE:  This group gives comfort and healing for the family who has lost a loved one.  This is a Closed Group with new Closed Groups starting regularly.

The Food Group:  This open group is designed to help women struggling with food and eating issues to find freedom from the stronghold of food in their lives. People with eating disorders as well as compulsive eaters and overeaters can find help in this group.

 

Codependency Group:  If your family member’s dysfunction or addiction affects your life and relationships, or if you find yourself in unhealthy, consuming or people-pleasing relationships, you will find help in this Open Group.

Men’s Substance Abuse Group:  This Men’s group provides support and direction with God’s power for men who want to recover from drug and alcohol abuse utilizing Celebrate Recovery © materials.

Women’s Substance Abuse Group:  This Women’s group provides support and direction with God’s power for women who want to recover from drug and alcohol abuse utilizing Celebrate Recovery © materials.

Prepare/Enrich:  COMING SOON!  If your marriage is ‘on the rocks’ or if you just need a reminder of why you ‘love the one you’re with’, then this Closed Group is for you.  New Closed Groups start regularly.

DivorceCARE for Men:  COMING SOON!  This group for Men provides support and direction with God’s power for women who are suffering the pains of divorce.  This is a Closed Group with new Closed Groups starting regularly.

Fibromyalgia:  COMING SOON!  This open group for women provides support and education to those who suffer from the pains of fibromyalgia.

Teenage Substance Abuse:  COMING SOON!  This open group is designed specifically for teens who need support and direction with God’s power in order to recover from drug and alcohol abuse utilizing Celebrate Recovery© materials.

Family Support:  COMING SOON!  This open group is designed to give support and hope for the family members of those who have substance abuse issues.

 

Other New Groups:  There will be new groups added as the needs are identified and as group facilitators are approved.

 

Here’s what the *stars* mean:

*Closed Group = This means that this group has an established amount of weeks that it will meet.  There are group materials that guide group members each week and new people can’t enter in the middle of the program.  New Closed Groups will begin on a regular basis.  You can remain in the ‘new-comers group’ until a new Closed Group begins.

**Open Group = This means that you can attend this group at any time.  This group is an ongoing support group.  You will enter the group and begin the materials at your own pace.

***COMING SOON = When there are enough participants to sustain a new group and when a leader of this new group present him/herself, there will be a series of announcements letting people know when the new group will begin.  There is an interview and qualification process that you must complete to facilitate an OASIS Group.  There is no competition to see how many OASIS groups can be offered.  OASIS is all about people finding hope, help and healing in Jesus Christ!
